Buckets of Barbeque
Sprayberry’s BBQ, Newnan, GA

I visited Sprayberry’s BBQ on Saturday at lunch. They have been doing bbq since 1926. Its very clean and had a nice staff. I ordered the chopped pork sandwich, stew, and half slab of baby back ribs. The stew has the consistency of mushy oatmeal and is a little on the bland side. It was better if you added their sauce to it. Speaking of their sauce, it has a bite. It’s made mostly of vinegar, really thin,  but is pretty good when dipping your bread in it. The pork is very dry and is just average. The pickles are sweet and go well with the sauce and stew. In fact added those three together make the stew much tastier. The ribs are tender and have a good smokey flavor. They were the best part of my meal. And in fact were better after reheating at home. Al of that plus tea ran me 19.77 plus I tipped the waitress, who was very nice and kept my tea full, $4.00 bringing my lunch total to $23.77. A tad bit high for lunch but I wanted to try the pork, ribs, and stew, my three key elements to deciding if a place has good grub.Needless to say I left very full. Go try it for your self. I give it 3 out of 5 stars.
